Veronica has been with Bandura from the very beginning. She is from Laredo, TX and now makes her home in San Antonio.
Jerry Narvaiz
Guitar
Jerry started playing guitar at the age of nine after receiving his mom’s guitar. Jerry first played with Gilbert & the Bluenotes while attending Brackenridge High School in San Antonio. Jerry has played with many bands that include Ram & the Outlaws, Montana, The Lovells, Ambicion, Carlos Miranda, Santovia, Aztlan, etc. Jerry received a music degree at the age of 35. Jerry is currently enjoying performing with Bandura and sees great progression in the band and the sky is the limit.
Frank Ramirez
Trumpet , Flugelhorn & Vocals
Frank, from Mexico City, graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School in San Antonio. Frank joined the army and was part of the 5th US Army Band and graduated from the military school of music. Frank has played with the Helotes Community Band, Al Gomez Big Band and the Liberty Brass Quintet where he is called to perform trumpet solos. Frank is also part of the American Legion Color Guard.
Mike Ramos
Lead Vocals
Mike started with the Bandura in January of 2018.
He also plays percussion and drums when needed.
Tony Rubio
Trumpet, Flugelhorn & Vocals
Tony started playing with Bandura in the fall of 2018. He graduated from Edgewood HS and lives in San Antonio. Tony was the original lead singer for Bandura. He was welcomed back with open arms to join the horn section and also does a lot of vocals when needed. Tony has played with many local bands in the San Antonio area. He is a great asset to have back as part of Bandura.
Chris Buentello
Bass
Chris started with the band in 2018.
He has many years of experience in the music industry.
David Martinez
Alto & Tenor Saxophone
David started playing Alto Saxophone in the early seventies while attending Truman Jr High in San Antonio. David was a junior at Memorial High School when he started performing with local bands at the age of sixteen. David has shared the stage with many musicians and has played with many local bands such as Jimmy Edward, Vic Love, The Lovells, Fiesta Band, etc. David enjoys writing music to relax and writes all the horn arrangements for the band.
